We support NGO WaterAid’s activities.
This year, everyone was encouraged to wash their hands. However, 40 % of houses in the world don’t have a facility to wash hands with clean water and soap. 92% of houses in Ethiopia (population: 0.1 billion), 41% of India (population: 1.3 billion) are in the same situation. 43% of a healthcare facility, there are no places to wash hands for doctors and nurses where they’re actually treating the patients.
WaterAid has been working on the water and hygiene issue over 40 years. “Together, we can reach everyone, everywhere with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene within a generation.” Thanks to remarkable people like you, in 2019, 400,000 people gained access to a clean water.
